Beats new wireless ear-pods available today

After an announcement a week ago, Beats has finally made their new wireless ear-pods available for sale today.

They claim to offer 8 hour charge and by the look of them they seem more convenient and easier to use than the Apple’s version.

You will be able to find them under the name “Beats X” and they come with a price tag of $149.95,  which compared to the AirPods that can be found at approximately $230, makes them a bit cheaper.

Beats X are available in 4 colours at the moment: Black, Grey, White and Blue, and they can provide 2 hour playback only with 5 minute charge.

Design wise they are safer to be used outside or even on a daily basis because they still come with a cable that you can put around your neck, compared to the apple version that seem impractical to use when jogging for example.

The back of the pods is also magnetic providing even more safety when you’re not using them, being able to stick them to one another while having them around your neck.

Specification wise they both use Bluetooth and Wifi, have a built in microphone, come with a volume control, inline calls and music controls as well as a noise isolation feature.

Reading through the reviews some people complained about the microphone that apparently catches even the sound of your footsteps and the fact that they are not sweat-proof as other beats version. Some people even mentioned that the base quality is not very good compared to other headphones from the same company. but then again what do they expect from some small in-ear pods?

Would you guys consider purchasing this new wireless pods? Do they seem worth the price?

Bixi – look ma, no hands!!!

There are a couple of nifty gadgets out there that will help us make life easier. Recently i stumbled upon one that promises to control different devices around you without touching them.

This one is called Bixi and they say that is an ultra-portable contactless smart device that will just simplify your life.

The idea behind it is that it’s based on gesture recognition. It can save up to 10 gestures that can help you manage your smart devices easier.

I can see it coming in handy when you’re in the kitchen cooking and you don’t want to wash your hands to change a song or answer the phone, but also if you’re driving and you want to stay focused on the road.

Bixi has been developed by a startup in France called BluemintLabs and their aim is to create devices that are intuitive and innovative that will just make life easier.

They way you connect Bixi to a device is via bluethooth and it can connect to any type of device that has a bluethooth feature.

What’s really impressive with this device is it’s battery life which can last up to 2 weeks on one single charge.

Another amazing thing about this nifty device is that the top of the device is made of gorrila glass 4 which is a scratch proof glass and it’s also splash proof.

The way that the device works is basically through an optical technology that is using a next-generation sensor to be as accurate as possible when used.

Some of the things that Bixi can control are:

1. Music & Powerpoint presentation (office)
2. Reading & Philips Hue lighting control (home)
3. Navigation assistance & Music (on bike)
4. Music & Opening Garage door (In car)

And you can even control your GoPro with it. Just imagine how easy that will be!

The device is still being developed but you can subscribe on their website to get updates when the product will be available for purchase.

FACEBOOK yellow might be your new obsession

If you haven’t heard yet there will be a new update for Facebook simply called Facebook yellow.

The founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg posted a video on the social media platform giving out a few details about this new and might i say amazing update.

In the video Mark mentioned that he was pulling out the “yellow version of the Facebook app, which is our internal build.” He also said that  “Not everything there’s gonna launch — some of it will over time.” So we the peasants will have to wait probably a bit more until we get access to all the new amazing features.

Apparently this new update will allow us to post on Facebook not only videos, statuses and pictures but will open the world to some new features such as :

This means you’ll be able to upload a bunch of images and your friends will see them in a slideshow without browsing your photo album.

While now you can use gifs in your Facebook messenger it’s still a bit tricky when trying to share them as a post on your timeline, but this will soon change.

And music, but not your standard youtube share instead you’ll be able to post an actual song from your playlist straight from the facebook page.

We don’t have a release date yet and all we can do is to wait for the developers to share this new update with us.
