Longer Tweeeeeeets? It will be possible in 2 weeks!

Twitter announced they will soon stop counting characters up to 140.

The change could happen in the next two weeks, and the information was offered by a person close to the company that wished not to be named because this decision hasn’t been made public yet.

This might be a plan for twitter to attract more people to use the social media platform, since the character limit is something not loved by a lot of users.

The initial limit was applied by the company so that a tweet will fit the information of a standard text message.

The company might be thinking to raising the limit up to 10,000 characters which in my opinion will be a little bit too much and the platform will loose its initial purpose. But when thinking that only sharing a link can eat up to 23 characters, adding a few hundred more is always a good idea.
