Now you can watch Netflix with strangers

I remember when i was young and was trying to watch the same tv show or movie with my best friend, never worked quite well. There was always a few seconds delay, or some really funny comments were lost before we could actually say them.

Now Netflix is one of the most popular streaming websites, and it just got a lot better. Google Chrome and Netflix developed a browser extension that will sync up your favorite episode of Californication with your best friend computer.

The app, called Showgoers is a chrome extension and is basically syncing up your account, creating a link that you can send to your friend, they will need to have a Netflix account as well, and job done.

You’ll also have a tab that will offer you and the other “participants” the chance to comment on the best moments.

The coolest feature is probably the fact that you can watch Netflix with other series enthusiasts. The new addition called “Live Parties“allows you to watch Netflix with strangers with the same passion and taste in series. So it will be almost like going to the cinema but from the comfort of your own sofa.

In order to take advantage of this app all you need to do is install the app in your google chrome browser , open Netflix in your browser and click on the showgoers glasses (they look like some 3D ones), copy the link and send it to your friends and then click “start sync”

Have you guys tried it out? What do you think about it? Leave a comment below.
